25 Years Blechschaden

In the beautiful Tent in Neubeuern, Bavaria

On the occasion of their 25th Anniversary the brass group “Blechschaden” played a concert under the baton of Bob Ross in Neubeuern, Bavaria.
During heavy rainfall the beautiful decorated tent was already occupied shortly before 6 o’clock pm on lake Neubeuern. To get good seats one had to be there already at 5.30 pm for the 8 o’clock concert. But at 6 o’clock the audience was entertained by a local group called “5erlei” with food and Bavarian beer.

At 8 o’clock pm “Blechschaden” entered the tent impressively with the music of Richard Strauss “Zarathustra”. And that was only the opening. Not only the Flight of the Bumblebee on the Tuba, a trumpet piece on the trombone, an Adagio for strings and organ, because of Scottish thriftiness without strings and organ – or alphorns – the 12 musicians inspired with their arrangements and Bob Ross’s humor again and again. For the first time singer Katrin Unterrainer performed musical songs.

After several encores the concert ended at 11 o’clock pm and the audience left the tent in high spirits out into the dark raining night looking for their cars.

I would like to thank all the fantastic fans who attended this special concert although it rained cats and dogs and stayed to the very end!

Best Regards,
